About us
The winery was born from the passion of Tina and Enzo, who chose to invest in the land, rediscovering ancient gestures and knowledge and bringing them into the present with a conscious perspective. Not a nostalgic return to the past, but a continuity: making wine with respect for the place it comes from, the time it requires, and the work that sustains it.
Borgo Giulia is a winery in evolution, attentive to market dynamics and the developments of viticulture, growing over time without forcing change, maintaining a strong bond with the territory and building, year after year, its own clear production identity.
Story
Borgo Giulia
Borgo Giulia was born in Corbara from a project built over time, with patience and dedication. A project that takes shape from the desire to restore viticulture in a territory where agricultural work has always played a central role in the lives of local families.
Territory
Corbara is located in a unique position, suspended between mountain and sea, in the heart of the Monti Lattari. A complex territory, shaped by altitude, variable exposures, and strong climatic influences, where every decision in the vineyard becomes crucial.
Un territorio complesso, fatto di altitudini, esposizioni variabili e forti influenze climatiche, che rende ogni scelta in vigna determinante.
The hills surrounding Borgo Giulia benefit from constant ventilation and intense light—elements that accompany the ripening of the grapes and help define the character of the wines. The soil, fertile and ancient, tells a long agricultural story and gives complexity and depth to the fruits of the land.
Here, viticulture has never been easy, but it is precisely this challenge that makes the territory authentic. A place that does not adapt to man, but asks man to adapt to its nature.
Winery
The Borgo Giulia winery was conceived as a natural extension of the work in the vineyard.
Each stage of production is designed to accompany the wine, without interfering with the raw material.
Vinification takes place with care and respect, using modern technologies only when they serve to preserve the quality and identity of the grapes. Stainless steel and wood coexist in a balance that varies according to the wine, the grape variety, and the vintage.
In the winery, time is a fundamental ally. Some wines mature slowly in barriques, while others express their freshness through more direct vinification. In every case, the goal remains the same: to let the wine tell the story of the territory without masks. The Borgo Giulia winery can be visited as part of one of the experiences we offer, or while visiting the Wine Bistrot as our guests.
Terrace
The Borgo Giulia terrace is a space designed to welcome and share.
Overlooking the surrounding landscape, it allows guests to experience the place directly, among vineyards, hills, and open sky.
It is here that wine meets cuisine, and where tastings become moments of conviviality and pause. An informal yet refined place, where time slows down and the experience is shaped around simplicity: a glass, a dish, and a view that changes with the seasons.
The terrace represents the most open soul of Borgo Giulia, a space where the wine leaves the winery to be truly experienced.
Caveau
The Caveau is the most intimate space of Borgo Giulia.
A secluded setting carved into the stone, designed for those seeking a private and quiet experience.
Here, wine is tasted slowly, far from the noise and rhythm of everyday life. A single table, few seats, and a tailored journey that allows guests to explore the wines, vintages, and production philosophy in depth.
The Caveau is not just an intimate table within our Wine Bistrot, but a different way to experience Borgo Giulia: slower, more focused, more profound, in harmony with the place and with those you love.
Barrel room
The Borgo Giulia barrel room is the place where time takes on a central role. Here, the wine rests and matures slowly, guided by the wood, without forcing and without unnecessary intervention.
Barriques and oak barrels are used with restraint, depending on the wine and the vintage. Wood is never the protagonist, but a tool: it supports the wine’s evolution, refines its structure, and adds depth, always respecting the character of the grape variety and the territory.
In the barrel room, the work is defined by patience and observation. Each wine follows its own path, with its own timing, until it reaches a balance that cannot be rushed.
It is a quiet, essential space where the wine takes its final shape before being shared.
